Leading up to World Book Day, and on the day itself, we ignited enthusiasm for reading. Learners shared stories, participated in book-related arts and crafts, such as creating bookmarks and decorating their favourite characters.

On the big day itself, the school transformed into a literary wonderland. Children arrived dressed up as their favourite book characters, ranging from Batman, The Hungry caterpillar and The Gruffalo. Learners and staff paraded their costumes and shared stories behind their character choices.

In addition to the fun and excitement, World Book Day serves a vital educational purpose. It reinforces the importance of reading for pleasure, which not only enhances literacy skills but also nurtures empathy, creativity, and critical thinking. By celebrating books and reading in such a dynamic way, we drive to instil a lifelong love of learning, setting them on a path to success both academically and personally.
