Pizza Express
Today, learners had the delightful opportunity to visit Pizza Express, allowing them to apply and expand upon the learning and skills they had been working on in the classroom. Their recent focus had been on position and direction in My Maths, and they had utilised this knowledge to plan their route to Resorts World Birmingham. Upon arrival, they continued to diligently follow their planned directions and signs, ultimately participating in an engaging food skills lesson at Pizza Express.
The restaurant manager, Danny, discussed how we prepare foods safely. Our learners recalled the 3 key steps of handwashing, wearing an apron and wearing a hat/ tying back long hair. Then we followed instructions and independently prepared our delicious pizzas.
