National Trust -Charterhouse Fundraising

Learners at Kingsbury Academy visited Charterhouse in Coventry, which has recently entered into a new partnership between The Historic Coventry Trust and the National Trust. During the Christmas period, learners at Kingsbury worked hard to design and handcraft Christmas cards and baubles to sell at the Tesco Ricoh during weekly career-related learning.
Learners chose to support Charterhouse as they had visited previously as part of our schools Eco week and wanted more children to have the same opportunity!
The sum raised was £200 and will be used to further support community initiatives that children can participate in during term time and the school holidays.
As a gesture of kindness, National Trust staff organised a series of enjoyable activities for our pupils to experience, including rock painting, bubble making, and a scavenger hunt to uncover a secret code!
A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff for providing such a memorable experience, and well done to all the learners for voting and supporting our local community.
