The most rewarding thing about working at Kingsbury Academy is the wonderful children!

All of our children have complex learning needs and need a personalised approach to their learning. Working at Kingsbury allows staff to be creative and imaginative in their approaches to teaching and learning, often planning lessons around individual children’s special interests to engage and enthuse them. Our purpose is to support our children to reach their full potential and to be as independent in life as possible.

Our continuing professional development focuses on SEN specific strategies so that all staff feel confident and knowledgeable when working with the children. We actively support our staff to continue their own professional development and provide opportunities for career progression within the Academy.

We have a passionate, committed and supportive staff team who share ideas and approaches to best support the children. No one ever feels alone. The Senior Leadership team have an open door policy and are always there to listen, guide and coach staff.

Our Governing Body are highly supportive of the work at Kingsbury Academy and are regular visitors to our school.
